Smoke Detector Inspection

Fincastle is going to do an inspection of all smoke detectors to make sure that everyone has one (1) working smoke detector per floor. The smoke detectors have to be either hard wired or have a 10 year lithium battery. Very few, if any, smoke detectors will be hard wired here. Most will have to be a 10 year lithium battery. If you need a new smoke detector, Fincastle will provide a smoke detector to you for a $30 fee or a smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector in one for a $50 fee. Please call the office as soon as possible to let me know if you would like us to provide one of those so that I can get the correct amount ordered. You also can get your own smoke detectors. If you wish, our maintenance will install it for you. On Monday, May 3rd, 2021, Brian Shuler and Garry Kron will be walking around to each unit to inspect the smoke detectors. If you do not wish them to come into your unit to inspect them, you will have to sign a paper that states you have the correct amount and type of working smoke detectors in your unit.
